Easy Beatles for the Ukulele: “You’ve Got To Hide Your Love Away” w/bonus 6/8 strumming mini lesson!

This mini lesson is an excerpt from my online Beatles for the Ukulele course. This is a great first song in 6/8 time signature if you are venturing beyond playing songs in the common time, 4/4. This song features a handful of chords yet remains very fresh and interesting. In the original version with the guitar, there is more movement with the bass line and also with suspended chords. However, trying to achieve that on the ukulele is difficult. Often times the movement is in the higher part of the chord structure. This will still offer a nice voice leading and create interest. It’s well worth the study of adding the small movements in to your basic chord vocabulary. Within this lesson, there is a mini lesson at the end just focusing on 6/8 streaming.
