Simply Hillwalking Heaven

Welcome. What a great day we had climbing Mweelrea in County Mayo, Ireland. The weather helped of course but the views were exceptional and the route up the north side of the mountain via the Ramp surrounded by cliffs in a dramatic corrie was superb. We had a great trip walking in the Irish hills and the beer was great too. Hope you enjoy and thanks for watching, this was simply hillwalking Heaven! I may upload a short video on hill walking in Ireland about guide books and maps and so forth if not this is the last video from this trip we did one more hike in thick mist in the 12 Bens of Connemara a really tough day but with very few views i have decided not to upload that walk as a video. My Channel is dedicated to hill walking, outdoor life, wild camping and backpacking focused especially on Wales and Scotland. I love the Brecon's Beacons, Mid Wales, Snowdonia and Highlands of Scotland. Hiking and walking in the mountains is my passion i love the outdoors, its good for my mental health and the physical challenge is good for my general health. My videos are not Walking Guides but i do give advice and show Route Maps. Many of my walks i talk about history of the landscape i hike through. I love wildlife and photography and often stay in bothies or use a tent. I like to Travel a lot and sometimes review Walking Gear. I enjoy walking up Munros, Corbett, Hewitts and Nuttall hills/mountains. I am currently trying to complete my second round of the Welsh Hewitts these are the 138 2000 foot mountains in Wales. I am always happy to answer any questions or queries so please leave a comment. I am not an expert in making You Tube Videos but love to document my hikes on film and upload them on You Tube for others to see in the hope that i can inspire other to get outside into our wonderful countryside. I am regularly inspired by other You Tube walking channels which give me ideas on places to hike, i simply want to do the same. I have been walking in the hills for nearly forty years and simply want to share my experiences. Thanks for watching and please subscribe.
