LAS GT22CW CANADIENSES del ROCA POR ROSARIO

Fabricadas en la planta de EMD de London - Canadá - en el año 1997, las locomotoras General Motors GT22CW-2 canadienses - numeradas del A-908 al 922 - han tenidos esporádicas apariciones en los últimos 10 años al frente de los trenes de larga distancia de la Línea General Mitre, siempre transferidas en forma transitoria de la Línea General Roca. Para fines de Enero de 2015, la A-920 se puso brevemente a cargo del "Tren Extra" a Tucumán - que corría en temporada estival con una formación de coches metálicos Sorefame, suplantando a la locomotora titular - la 319-331 - que necesitaba ser reparada. A fines de Julio de 2022, la A-909 llegó al Mitre, corrío el Tren Inaugural del servicio local Rosario Norte-Cañada de Gómez y pronto fue pasada a los servicios a Córdoba y Tucumán, regresando al Roca a principios de 2023. At the end of January 2015, A-920 briefly took over the "Extra Train" to Tucumán—which ran during the summer season with a Sorefame metal trainset—replacing the regular locomotive—319-331—which needed repairs. At the end of July 2022, the A-909 arrived on the Mitre line, ran the inaugural train of the Rosario Norte-Cañada de Gómez local service, and was soon transferred to services to Córdoba and Tucumán, returning to the Roca line in early 2023. Finally, a little over a year ago, the A-916 (formerly of the San Martín line) began running services to Córdoba and Tucumán before they were canceled in September 2025. To this day, it remains on the Mitre line, sometimes hauling trains No. 277-278 (Retiro-Rosario Norte and vice versa) or used for transfers and shunting duties. It is currently the Canadian GT22 locomotive that has spent the most time working on the Mitre line.
