Steam Rattler Shuttles to a New Mordialloc Mordialloc Steam Train Rides 2026 Steamrail A2986 & Taits Hello all, Welcome to a Victorian heritage video. Today we head down the Frankston line returning to a station we visited recently, Mordialloc. Steamrail Victoria ran a day of steam shuttles from the new station, being the first steam train to stop at the new platforms. Five shuttles were run between Mordialloc and Glen Huntly with locomotive A2986 on the DOWN end hauling the heritage electric Tait set, better known as the Red Rattlers. Along with the five shuttles, the transfer services from Newport were also available for travel on this occasion. In our video we begin in Toorak for the transfer, then travel down the Frankston line for the duration of the shuttles.
