Singha Brahman and Composite Empty lactating or very late pregnant cows in September 2026. Babies!

These are our empty lactating cows and very late pregnants from the Singha Brahman and Composite Herd at Hidden Valley Station (which is in the Northern Forest country of the NT, Australia) in September 2026. All the cows of four or above had a 2026 weaner removed (86% weaner mother rebreed with empties culled) and were pregnant at the time their calf was weaned. We wean them back into the paddock with a weaning nose ring which gets removed in the next round. We only wean big ones. The 2 year olds (year brand 4) were 90% pregnant or lactating at the first round in June 2026. The empty wet cows have to be feeding a calf we’re not going to wean to stay in the herd. Any empty wet weaner mothers are culled. Most of these calves are the 2027 drop as we work on financial year branding. The bulls are in year round and everyone mates when they’re ready.
