(4K, 2026, Right-Hand Side) A beautiful winter train ride in the snow along scenic Line 1, the Holmenkollen Line, on the Oslo T-Bane (Metro), from Ris to Frognerseteren. I did not plan in advance to record this, nor was I equipped to do so, and as such this is a midweek bonus surprise video, and quite informal! I simply recorded it holding my GoPro HERO 12 camera in my hand. The plan was to ride to the top of of the line at Frognerseteren, and walk back down to Holmenkollen by the famous Holmenkollbakken Ski Jump (which can be seen here from the train), before capturing the train down again. However, it was far too icy to walk, and packed with skiers and sledders enjoying the weather on a Sunday afternoon! I knew that this metro line is supposedly considered the most scenic metro line in the world, and I thought it was so beautiful in the snow that I decided to take out my camera, and film what I could, starting from the station at Ris. I certainly plan to go back and video the line in full properly in the future! Also watch our for the pizzeria on the platform at Vettakollen, and all the sledders and skiers who join the train to ride back up to the top of the forested hill again at Midstuen!
