N55 Valvetronic won't relearn after replacing shaft and actuator?

This video shows how I solved the problem of my valvetronic system failing to relearn limit positions and remaining in emergency mode after replacing the eccentric shaft and actuator. The vehicle is a 2013 BMW X5 xDrive35i but relates to any BMW with Valvetronic III.
