Silent Max - Void Floating

Void Floating is a track that explores the loneliness and vulnerability that comes with growing up and realizing that only you are solely responsible for your own life. Inspired by the feeling of being one-on-one with an unknown wild world, it reflects the moment when you understand that your parents can no longer protect you from everything, and that you have to find your own way through the unknown. This feeling is quite familiar to first-time swimming alone in the sea during a storm, when it starts dragging you into the deeps, and there is no one around you to help. I wrote this track during a difficult period in my life, during the loss of my mom. It took time to process those feelings, transform them, and express them into this dreamy space symphony. The handpan takes center stage as my main instrument. Its healing, metal-singing vibrations help me cope with depression by expressing my feelings through music. I had dreamed of playing this instrument for half my life, and uniting it with retro-space synth, analog bass, and other percussion instruments is my way of saying thanks and goodbye to my mom.
