I built my towers in the desert sand, Trusted in the work of my own hand, Chased the glitter, chased the praise, Lost myself in worldly ways. I bowed before the things I made, To passing shadows, fleeting shades, Forgot the One who gave me breath, The Lord of life, the Lord of death. There is only One above, Source of mercy, source of love, Every star and every sea Whispers His reality.
