A Ride Through Northern Vietnam

The Ha Giang Loop is still one of the most beautiful roads I’ve ever ridden. For days, we rode through the mountains of northern Vietnam—endless switchbacks, small villages, massive valleys, and some of the most incredible scenery I’ve ever seen. My parents immigrated from Vietnam, but even they never had the chance to explore this part of the country. Being here felt different. It wasn’t just about riding motorcycles or seeing somewhere beautiful—it felt like I was discovering a part of Vietnam that had always been connected to my family, but was still completely new to me. We finished the journey with a few quiet days around Sapa, taking in northern Vietnam from a completely different perspective.
