Standard Track Measurement & Adjustment Method (from Polaris Official Guides) 1. Warm up snowmobile track & lift the rear (safely supported) so the track hangs free. 2. Measure 16 inches (40 cm) forward from the rear idler shaft/axle 3. Apply 10 pounds (about 4.5 kg) of downward pressure/weight on the track at that point (use a scale or weights). 4. Measure the slack/gap between the track clips (or inside of track) and the rail/Hifax surface. 1/2"-5/8" slack optimal, 5/8"-3/4" stated in the manual. 5. Adjust each side equally so the track stays aligned. 6. Tighten lock nuts back up 7. Torque axle bolts to 55 ft lbs 8. Test it out!
