Orrville, OH - Federal Signal Thunderbolt 1000T Siren Test - Full Alert - 7/1/24

Basic Info: Siren: Federal Signal Thunderbolt 1000T Location: Orrville Street Department System: Orrville, OH Siren System Testing: First Monday of the Month at 12:00 PM Cycle: Full Alert Other Enthusiasts Present: None Notes: After living in NE Ohio for about 5 years then, it had killed me that I had never been able to see Orrville go off. Back in the day, when they did work, they only did an 8 second test so I had no urge to go. After an effort from ‪@strmwng04‬, and after Orrville did many upgrades to the system, the decision was made that for the city sirens, a full-3 minute cycle would be the new monthly testing policy. This siren blew me away. To this day, this is the loudest 1000T I have ever heard. It is also in the middle of a few businesses which sets up a good "echo-chamber" as I would call it. This siren is also currently not working at the time of writing this description. Efforts are being made to put this siren back into service. Thanks for watching!
