Namsan Tower (N Seoul Tower) rises above Seoul with autumn colors and love locks. The walk covers the tower plaza and viewpoints. Namsan Tower, officially N Seoul Tower, is a communication and observation tower on Namsan in central Seoul. The tower itself stands 236.7 meters tall, with its summit reaching 479.7 meters above sea level. It has been a landmark of the Seoul skyline since 1980. Fences around the tower plaza are covered with thousands of padlocks known as Locks of Love, which couples fasten to symbolize lasting love. Nearby are Palgakjeong, an octagonal pavilion, and the Mongmyeoksan Beacon Hill Site, a beacon station that once relayed signals across the city, rebuilt in 1993. The walk passes both, and a traditional sword performance was underway in front of Palgakjeong when it was filmed. Visiting the plaza, the beacon site, and the Locks of Love is free.
