When God Seems Silent, Pray This for Faith to Keep Going | Morning Prayer

When God seems silent, this morning prayer is for the person who has prayed, waited and wondered whether God still hears them. Drawn from Psalm 13:1–6 and Habakkuk 2:3, this Christian prayer will help you bring unanswered questions to God honestly, resist fear and false conclusions, and receive faith for the next obedient step. You may be waiting for health news, restoration in your family, financial provision, direction about work or clarity concerning an important decision. The waiting may be painful, but it does not have to control your thoughts, weaken your convictions or push you towards a forced outcome. God’s apparent silence is not proof of His absence. You do not have to invent an answer, exaggerate a sign or pretend that waiting does not hurt. You can lament honestly, seek wisdom, remain responsible and keep trusting the character of God. Pray slowly and personally. Let these declarations become your own: An unanswered prayer is not an unheard prayer. Fear will not interpret God’s silence for me. I will not postpone all living until one prayer is answered. The silence I feel will not become my verdict on God’s faithfulness. Scripture references: Psalm 13:1–6, Habakkuk 2:3 and Romans 8:26. If you are carrying an unanswered prayer, share your request in the comments. We would be honoured to stand with you in prayer.
