Book Launch of WIRED DIFFERENT, a mother's memoir, by Susan Chaplin, hosted by Lynne Golodner

Join Lynne Golodner and her friend and fellow writer Susan Chaplin for the virtual launch of Susan's memoir, WIRED DIFFERENT, about her beloved son Jeffrey. This book is an exploration of motherhood and an ode to acceptance. We’ll be discussing the unique and beautiful insights found in Sue's gorgeous love letter to her son and to herself, specifically focusing on navigating our world through a neurodiverse lens. It is an invitation to see the world through a different, perhaps more vibrant, light. Lynne Golodner and Susan Chaplin have been writing together for more than a decade, during which Sue has worked tirelessly on this memoir. It made its debut on September 22, 2026. The virtual launch focused on Sue's journey of writing the book, how it evolved from journal entries in real time to a full-fledged memoir of parenting her son, and the tireless advocacy and endless love it required. Sue shared the inspiration behind the memoir and her writing journey. She also shared the news that finally, at age 32, Jeffrey received a diagnosis of Syngap1, and how that diagnosis is changing their understanding of his situation now that they have a community to connect with.
