Ecoflow OCEAN 2 - The Lowdown

We recently caught up with Myles Jenner from EcoFlow at Solar & Storage Live to discuss their new product innovation, the OCEAN 2. Small but mighty, this new Energy storage solution has decreased in size but enhanced in performance. Focused heavily on, speed, capacity, protection, and style. The OCEAN 2 comes with 10 safety features per battery, including fire safety systems and is compatible with older PowerOcean battery modules. Available in 6kw to 15kw, the three-phase inverters were originally stand-alone, requiring extra equipment. Now, it comes as an entire modular system similar to the single-phase. The single-phase inverters, available in 3kw to 6kw, now come with AFCI built in and are compatible with all new model batteries. Alongside this, EcoFlow have launched the Ocean 2 Plus, with a new size range of 6kw to 12kw. PV oversizing can be increased to 200% on every size, giving installers the ability to support their customers in maximising energy generation and improving performance. There is the option to ‘mix and match’ on battery sizes, so old batteries can be used alongside the new ones. This allows the user to get higher performance, more stackability and expansion of their systems. Sleek design and easy to install, the system comes with a 15-year warranty on the whole system for added peace of mind. Designed to scale up, EcoFlow have sped up the process of increasing the system size, meaning when a new battery is required, installers can fit it within 5 minutes.
