Amtrak 562-23 slowly crawls through SDG&E and Cannon Road with AMTK 345 leading on October 23,2026.

Here is Amtrak 562-23 which was quite behind schedule slowly crawling through both the SDG&E railroad crossing along with Cannon Road on the Main 1. This was due to the Coaster 628-23 getting in front of it and making stops along its way towards San Diego plus meeting a late Coaster 623-23 as well. Although Amtrak Pacific Surfliner doesn’t stop in Carlsbad or Encinitas along the way to Solana Beach which would be its next stop along the way. Leading this train is Siemens Mobility ALC-42 AMTK 345 in the phase VII paint scheme pulling six bilevel coaches made by Alstom. Two of them are Superliner coaches and the rest are Surfliner coaches including the Cab Control car AMTK 6900 Point Buchon trailing. Very nice horn action as well out of AMTK 345 as well.
