The P29 patrol boat is a former East German minesweeper that now rests upright as a popular artificial reef and scuba diving wreck off the coast of Ċirkewwa, Malta. • East Germany (1969–1990): Built as the Boltenhagen, a Kondor I-class minesweeper for the East German Volksmarine. • German Coast Guard (1990–1996): Served post-reunification as a federal coast guard vessel (BG31). • Armed Forces of Malta (1997–2004): Purchased by Malta in July 1997, recommissioned as P29, and used for border control and anti-smuggling operations within the Maritime Squadron. • Scuttling (2007): Decommissioned in 2004 and deliberately scuttled on August 14, 2007, off the coast of Ċirkewwa to serve as a dive attraction and artificial reef
