However, I am fortunate enough to have the opportunity to share this with you all. After having a bit of a bad luck streak with the (R) Train to 96 St getting dropped on this day, this makes up for it. In past months when the MTA did CBTC testing with the R211A (F) Train, they did it during late night hours, and it did not go well. I’ve always questioned why they would only test during late nights in the past, but I had a feeling it was a recipe for disaster for them. I’m glad they learned from their mistake though. It’s always satisfying when I get a rare catch, and I get to see various railfanners around me getting their shots, knowing that they were gonna witness something you rarely see. I’ll touch more about my opinion on how MTA should conduct their tests in the return leg. But until then, I hope you viewers enjoy this rare catch on day 1 of the second round of CBTC testing.
