Vineyard Owner Sends His Son

Blessings! We're so glad you chose to listen to this podcast. This is the sermon message from Sunday October 4th.  In Matthew 21:33–46, Jesus tells a difficult parable. A vineyard owner sends servant after servant to collect the fruit of his vineyard, but the tenants beat and kill them. Finally, the owner sends his son. What makes the parable remarkable is that Jesus knows He is the Son in the story. He knows what is coming. The religious leaders are already plotting against Him. The cross is drawing near. Yet Jesus does not run away. He comes willingly. That is the heart of the Gospel. Jesus does not defeat His enemies by destroying them. He gives His life to save them. The stone the builders rejected becomes the cornerstone. Through His death and resurrection, sinners are forgiven and given eternal life. Please consider joining us in person next Sunday.
