Reading & Northern 2102: The Springtime Steam Rambles (4K)

For the 2024 and 2025 seasons, the Reading & Northern Passenger Department organized the first rambles of the main excursion season to operate between Reading Outer Station and Jim Thorpe, PA on the classic run over the Reading and CNJ. These trips were pulled by their flagship excursion engine, ex-Reading 4-8-4 T-1 Class #2102, affectionately known as the “T-Hog”. For the 2025 season, as an added bonus, the railroad added classic open air excursion car “Appalachian Trail”, formerly known as the Southern Railway’s “Lookout Mountain”, directly behind the engine, offering passengers an exciting experience to ride behind one of the loudest steam engines in the country for an entire day.
