Intense Percussion with Serge Modular | Serge Exploration #06

An improvised exploration of intense percussion created entirely with a Serge modular synthesizer. In this episode of Serge Exploration, noise and oscillators are combined to create dense, percussive sounds using the Serge Random*Source Mantra2. Modulation and hands-on timing continuously reshape the rhythm and timbre, creating an unpredictable interaction between the patch and manual performance. Serge Modularのみを使用した、強烈なパーカッションサウンドの即興的な探究です。 《Serge Exploration》では、パッチングと演奏の過程から音がどのように形成され、変化していくかを記録します。今回はノイズとオシレーターを組み合わせて密度の高いパーカッションサウンドを作り、モジュレーションと手動のタイミングによって、リズムと音色が予測できないかたちで変化していく様子を探究しています。 ⸻ SYSTEM Serge Random*Source Mantra2 ⸻ ARTIST Tomohiko Sugino Starting from his lived experience of sensorineural hearing loss since the age of three, Tomohiko Sugino develops works exploring the nature of listening through his ongoing series Para-aural Phenomena.
