There is a village in Japan that does not appear on any modern map — and a sign that supposedly reads: "The Japanese constitution is not in effect past here." This is the legend of Inunaki Village, near the Inunaki Pass in Fukuoka. This video separates legend from fact, calmly and without graphic detail.
In this video:
• The legend: the sign, the side road past the Old Inunaki Tunnel, and the stories of the couple and the telephone booth
• What is real: the Old Inunaki Tunnel (opened 1949, replaced 1975), the historical village of Inunaki (1691–1889), and the December 1988 murder of Koichi Umeyama near the tunnel
• What is not: the hidden village itself — no record, no map, no confirmed case behind the legend's central stories
• How the modern legend spread from a 1999 letter to Nippon TV, and why it still survives in the age of satellite maps
This video covers a LEGEND, not a documented case — it is labelled as such throughout. The tunnel is sealed and the roads are closed; please do not attempt to visit or enter it.
New files every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday: unsolved cases, disappearances and dark history from Japan.
