Back to Village: Building Self-Reliant Entrepreneurs | Stories of Impact | Back to Village

This episode is the last in the Stories of Impact series. It takes you to village Bancha, district Betul in Madhya Pradesh where villagers belonging to Gond tribes are experiencing entrepreneurship, self-reliance and reverse migration, all in a sustainable way. With support from MPTB (Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board), Back to Village has helped build eco-friendly home-stays in Bancha where tourists can experience village life, authentic food, enjoy village trails and even join villagers in cooking and community singing. Info Edge CSR has supported up-skilling of the tribal-entrepreneurs with an aim to enhance their livelihoods. Fifty villagers including twenty home-stay owners have been upskilled at IHM, Bhopal in hygiene and hospitality.
