A: I didn’t have my degree when I was applying because I was doing my last year. In this case, you need to contact your university and ask them for a letter stating that you finishing this year and when you get in for an interview and you still haven’t received your degree certificate then you Ask your University for a letter of completion. Once you receive your degree you submit it via email as soon as possible. 2. The application form says I am liable for the visa cost and luggage cost and I believe if I am not mistaken you said Visa is for free… A: Yes, I did. We don’t have to pay for our Visa but if they do make you pay it’s very affordable😅 3. Do I need to do a police clearance now or do I have to submit it just before we leave? Coz the form states if you have no criminal record it may not be required just yet. A: Only those who wish to leave for early intake. IF YOU DON’T have your Police clearance and you want to apply for early intake, try to use your receipt to show that you've applied for it, remember you need three copies with every document you submit. 4. In terms of accommodation. How much should I roughly budget to be sure I am on the safe side and not be stranded in Japan? I mean for how many months before the first payment if I may put it in that way? A: With the JET Program you will never be stranded in terms of accommodation, you will be connected with your Senpai (someone who’s going to be preparing for you on the other side and making sure your accommodation Is ready), you will be able to prepare that with your him or her and your contracting organization. But you do need food money for the first month as you only get paid month-end. So save according to how much you spend on yourself every month and double that up. I’m going there with about 5k minimum and I’ll let you know once I’m there how that went🙈😅 5. Hey Girl. Do we have to be vaccinated to apply? A: No, You don't 6. DO the letters have to be handwritten or can they be typed (Reference Letters) A: Typed, please. It is the signature that is preferred to be hand-signed.
