Braves/Phillies, WNBA is a JOKE, & Cornell Seven Case

Clay Travis is back with a loaded Thursday show, starting with his Thursday Night Football picks as the Browns take on the Steelers. Clay is riding with Cleveland +3 and the Over 37.5. Take advantage of the latest offers from Hard Rock Bet! https://www.hardrock.bet/clay He also sounds off on MLB after the Phillies-Braves Wild Card start time wasn’t announced until less than 24 hours before first pitch, continuing his criticism of how baseball has handled its postseason scheduling. Then Clay dives into the latest WNBA controversy surrounding A’ja Wilson’s interaction with an Indiana Fever fan and the political assumptions being made about Fever and Caitlin Clark fans. Clay discusses why Clark’s enormous popularity reminds him more of Michael Jordan — a transcendent sports star who largely stays out of politics — compared with athletes like LeBron James and Colin Kaepernick, who have made political issues a major part of their public profiles. Clay also puts on his lawyer hat to break down the Cornell Seven case, examining the allegations, the years that passed before they became public, and the consequences serious accusations can have for everyone involved. He reverses the genders in the situation to examine how the same claims might be received if a man made them years later and discusses the broader questions of fairness, evidence and equal treatment. Finally, Clay reacts to Bryce Harper’s postgame interview and the mentality behind his message: you can’t change what already happened. Whether it’s a mistake, a loss or a missed opportunity, you have to keep your mind focused on what comes next.
