I Missed a Fish From 30 cm Away | Spearfishing Albania

59 dives, almost five hours, and a lionfish I somehow managed to miss from 30 centimetres away. Welcome to spearfishing in Albania. The plan was simple: head out near Saranda, catch dinner, and enjoy the sea. Naturally, it involved rough water, poor visibility, tangled float lines, several missed shots, and an embarrassing amount of time fighting cable ties. Starting at Sun’n Blue Villas, I head out in search of mullet, spot a lionfish, encounter two enormous groupers, and eventually bring home dinner. Getting my float off the rocks—with a loaded speargun attached—adds a tense final chapter.
