Welcome to my playthrough of Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System!
Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars [SNES] Playlist: • Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars...
Super Mario RPG is one of my favorite games of all time. I was into the Mario series when it came out, and this is the game that got me into RPGs. Nintendo collaborated with SquareSoft to make this gem for us. I think it still looks pretty good, though it can certainly do with some updates.
After viewing the title screens, we go through a predictable introduction where Mario goes to Bowser's Keep to rescue Princess Toadstool. However, the predictability ends as an unidentified flying object slams into the keep!
Afterwards, Mario is returned to Mario's Pad for a scene with Toad. Mario tries to get back into Bowser's Keep, but it does not turn out well. Back at Mario's Pad, he reports to Toad in an amusing pantomine. Toad tells Mario to go to Mushroom Kingdom to report to the Chancellor. Upon leaving Mario's Pad, Mario will get optional tutorials on item usage and timed hits.
Then, Mario explores Mushroom Way. In the first two areas, there are opportunities to save Toad from some familiar monsters for prizes. Trust me: you do not want to pass up on Flower Tabs, Flower Jars, and Flower Boxes. Flower Points, or FP, are this game's form of MP, and the entire party
At the end of Mushroom Way, Mario fights his first boss encounter, a pair of Hammer Bros. Not too hard. They leave a Hammer, which Mario can equip as a weapon.
Finally, Mario arrives in Mushroom Kingdom. He will explore this town in the next video.
Thanks for watching!
