The Barton Gallery

It's always nice when there's a line of independent traders keeping a retail space - based in a listed Georgian building, alive and kicking. Tomorrow sees the opening of The Barton Gallery - in Barton Street of course! You could say traders here have allowed the building to offer everything from pizzas to paintings, as previous owners were famed for serving up those Neapolitan delights and also - apparently - for being the first burger bar in Bath! Say hello to Bob and Agnes Pollock - the new owners preparing to open shop tomorrow, even if there's still the painter's scaffolding around the front of the building. At least the weather is good for finishing off that job! I went along to say hello. thebartongallery.com
