Thrift With Me in NYC! $40 Fur Coat, Victorian Fashion, Home Decor at Chelsea Flea, Haul and Try on!

Come thrift with me at the Chelsea Flea in NYC for one of the BEST treasure hunting days we’ve had in forever! Vintage designer, Victorian clothing, antiques, a $40 fur coat, BYREDO perfume, an insane Judith Leiber bag, vintage jewelry AND a haul and try on at the end! My friend Kristin joined me for a full day of NYC thrifting, and when I tell you we hit jackpot after jackpot…I MEAN IT. 😂 We started at Chelsea Flea digging through vintage fashion, designer finds, antiques, art, jewelry and all the weird and wonderful stuff that makes this one of my favorite places to treasure hunt in New York. Poor Kristin really wasnt ready :) We find BYREDO perfume at John’s, visit Billy Sr. for art and antiques, and hunt through Marcel’s racks where I somehow score an AMAZING fur coat for just $40. THEN WE GET TO ROSARIO. 😭 Rosario had some of the most incredible antique Victorian clothing I’ve ever come across at the flea — corsets, jackets, dresses and beautifully constructed pieces — and SO MUCH OF IT WAS IN LARGER SIZES, which is incredibly rare for antique clothing. I tried on everything I could get my hands on and obviously could not leave without buying a Victorian corset. And the fashion finds just keep coming!! We try on an incredible leopard coat at Chantal’s, score vintage silver earrings from Chantal and Whitney, and visit Jason Campbell Studios where we dig through vintage designer and find the most INSANE vintage Judith Leiber bag. We also stop at Crossroads for an AC break and somehow MANIFEST a pair of JNCO jeans for Kristin 😂, meet some of the YouTube fam visiting from Ethiopia, and finish with a haul and try on where I show you everything I bought and how I’m styling it. Some questionable outfits are made and well, you be the judge! But honestly, as much as I love finding the stuff, days like this remind me that my favorite part of the flea is the PEOPLE. Talking to vendors, hearing the stories behind the things they sell, running into friends, meeting you guys, talking shit with strangers and spending a day with the people who make this city what it is.
