It is hard to imagine that once, in 1980, this beautiful place was buried under a layer of ash, mud, stones, and lava. The last stratovolcano eruption went on for about 9 hours, turning day into night, and magnificent natural landscapes into post-apocalyptic scenery. Today, Mount St Helens is a place of deep relaxation and admiration of nature. Beautiful landscapes, stunning scents of meadow flowers, and the sonorous hubbub of birds, bees, beetles, and other insects make up the perfect picture for the background.
