Faust is gone, but what he left behind may prove considerably more important than the man himself. Around Faust's neck was what initially appeared to be little more than a strange trinket. After taking it from him, however, we discover that this isn't simply another artefact from the Zone. It's a key and apparently, it's a key capable of unlocking something connected to one of the greatest mysteries in STALKER history the C-Consciousness. Everything we've learned recently is beginning to connect. The Monolith, Faust, the strange nature of the Zone itself and now something Scar has been searching for: the Shining Zone. It turns out the Shining Zone may not simply be another story whispered around campfires. Scar believes it's real, and he's determined to uncover its secrets. But doing that means finding someone who understands the Zone better than almost anyone still walking within it. A name that needs very little introduction to veteran STALKER players: Strelok. Depending on who you ask, that name is spoken with admiration, disbelief, fear or outright anger. Strelok isn't simply another Stalker. He's a legend — someone whose actions have shaped the history of the Zone and who has ventured into places most wouldn't survive long enough to reach. And now we need to find him.
