It is the summit of the Wellington Range and is within Wellington Park reserve. Hobart, Tasmania's capital city, is located at the foot of the mountain. Huonville is a town located on the banks of the Huon River in the Huon Valley, in the south-east of Tasmania. The Huon Valley produces 80% of Tasmania's apples, earning the state the nickname "The Apple Isle."
