Deep in Niger, a handful of runners line up for one of the most extreme ultra marathons ever staged — a 333km continuous race across open desert. No stages. No rest days. Just run until you finish or the desert breaks you. This documentary follows Lisa Tamati and Austrian runner Gerhard Lusskandl as they battle through conditions that would stop most people before the starting line. Lisa is hit with debilitating food poisoning within hours of the start and fights hour by hour to keep moving while Gerhard leads the field through the barren, burning landscape.
