Thicken the milk: Simmer over low to medium-low heat, stirring regularly and scraping the cream from the sides back into the milk. Make it creamy: Mix the milk powder with a little cool milk until smooth, if using. Stir it into the simmering milk. Add sweetness: Add sugar, chopped almonds, pistachios and saffron. Cook for another 5–10 minutes, stirring to prevent sticking. Add the creamy flavour: Mix in fresh cream and cardamom powder. Add rose water and a tiny amount of pink food colour if desired. Cook to the right consistency: Simmer until the mixture is creamy and slightly thick. Remember, it will thicken more as it cools. Cool and chill: Allow the rabri to cool, then refrigerate for at least 2–3 hours. Garnish and serve: Pour into beautiful dessert glasses and top with almond slivers, pistachios, saffron and rose petals. Chef’s tip: For the best creamy texture, use full-fat milk, cook slowly, and avoid adding too much milk powder. The pink colour is optional; the dessert tastes delicious without it, too. #TurkishRabri #RabriRecipe #DessertRecipe #CreamyDessert #HomemadeDessert #IndianSweets #Foodie #EasyDessert #SweetRecipes #FoodShorts #CookWithKhushnuma
