POV: You Became Wealthier Than Your Boss — He Never Knew

For years, your boss earned far more than you did. He had the bigger house, the newer car, the better title, and the kind of lifestyle that looked like success from the outside. But while his income kept growing, so did his expenses. You took a different path. You kept your lifestyle relatively simple, invested through every raise, stayed consistent during market crashes, and slowly built wealth that nobody at work could see. Then one afternoon, your boss told you something about his finances that changed the way you saw success forever. Because somewhere along the way, without either of you noticing the exact moment it happened, your net worth had passed his. And he never knew. This is a story about the difference between earning a high income and actually building wealth — and why the person who looks richest in the room may not be the one with the most freedom.
