Lunchtime Recital -Sasha Parker, violin

S Bach - Adagio & Fuga from Sonata No. 3 in C major Lembit Beecher - Still Life with Fallen Stone (2026) Ysaÿe - Sonata No. 5 in G major Biography Sasha is a nineteen-year old violinist-conductor studying at the Royal College of Music under Lutsia and Alina Ibragimova, having previously studied at the Yehudi Menuhin School. Praised for a “distinctive musical personality” by The Strad Magazine, Sasha is a prizewinner of many international competitions, including first prize at the WMSO Young Musician’s Concerto Competition and the RCM Concerto Compeititon, alongside other prizes at the Ilona Féher Violin Competition in Budapest and the Sevenoaks Young Musician of the Year Competition. In 2025, Sasha won six prizes at the 44th Rodolfo Lipizer Competition, including second prize, the audience prize, and four special prizes. Sasha is also a featured Young Artist of both the Worshipful Company of Musicians and Talent Unlimited. Sasha has appeared frequently as a soloist with a variety of orchestras, including Anima Musicae, the St James Chamber Orchestra, LSG Bryanston Chamber Orchestra, the LSE Orchestra and the Farnham Sinfonia, where Sasha is also resident as Associate Conductor. Recent solo performances have included concerts given at the House of Lords, King’s Place, and Fishmonger’s Hall, as well as at venues across Europe in Germany, Hungary and Italy. A keen chamber musician, Sasha has also collaborated with artists such as Kathryn Stott, Sally Beamish, Mary Bevan, Thomas Gould, and Akiko Ono, and performs regularly in string quartets including recently with the Masaccio Quartet and with the Maiastra Ensemble.
