[English translation of the Chinese follows below.] 本影片為純器樂作品；以下為作品說明。 《壹重・思源 / First Fold・Origin》 收錄於《柒思道形》七重曲 / Sevenfold Reflections: Dao Takes Form 【中文】 「思源」不只是回頭尋找起點，也不是把過去固定成單一答案。源頭不是一個被我們一次找回、從此不再改變的東西。很多時候，源頭是在反覆思想、重新記憶、重新詮釋之中，才逐漸顯明。 飲水思源，是感恩，也是追問。它不只是說「不要忘本」，也不是單純懷舊，而是問：這件事從哪裡開始？我的反應從哪裡來？這段路的起點是什麼？是記憶、傷痕、責任、愛、恐懼、呼召，還是某種更深的召喚？ 這首〈思源〉原本與《追殺比爾》啟發作品中「劍」的脈絡有關，但在聆聽與重新詮釋中，逐漸離開武士刀、復仇與動作場景，轉向另一條路：從劍到道，從外在衝突到內在成形。 「思源」是七重思辨的第一重，但不是第一個完成後才進入下一步的步驟。在思源之中，已經隱含思終、思危、思靜、思退、思進與思變。源頭若不思想終向，會變成單純的過去；源頭若不思想危險，會忽略它可能帶來的代價；源頭若不思想靜，會被焦慮與怨恨扭曲。 最後的「思變」也會回頭修正我們對「思源」的理解。人對自己起點的認識，不是一次完成的。經過時間、信仰、反省與生命經驗之後，我們可能才發現源頭比自己原先理解的更深、更複雜，也更需要謙卑地重新詮釋。 道不是逃離源頭而成形，也不是把源頭偶像化而成形。道是在一次又一次回到源頭、重新理解源頭、也願意修正自己對源頭的理解之中，漸漸有形。 【English Translation】 “Origin” is not merely a return to the beginning, nor does it fix the past into a single answer. The source is not something we recover once and then possess unchanged forever. Very often, origin becomes clearer only through repeated reflection, renewed memory, and fresh interpretation. To reflect on origin is both gratitude and inquiry. It is more than “remembering where one comes from,” and more than nostalgia. It asks: Where did this matter begin? Where does my response come from? What is the starting point of this path? Is it memory, wound, responsibility, love, fear, calling, or a deeper summons? This track, “Origin,” originally had some connection to the “sword” framework of a Kill Bill-inspired project. Yet through listening and reinterpretation, it gradually moved away from the katana, revenge, and cinematic action, opening another path: from sword to Dao, from external conflict to inner formation. Origin is the first fold of the sevenfold reflection, but it is not the first step in a linear method. Within Origin, the other six folds are already present: Telos, Danger, Stillness, Retreat, Advance, and Change. Origin without Telos becomes mere past. Origin without Danger ignores cost. Origin without Stillness can be distorted by anxiety and resentment. The final fold, Change, also returns to revise how Origin itself is understood. Our knowledge of our own beginning is not completed once for all. Through time, faith, reflection, and lived experience, we may discover that the source is deeper, more complex, and more in need of humble reinterpretation than we first imagined. Dao does not take form by escaping origin, nor by turning origin into an idol.
