"Filthy and Misogynistic" says Mahua Moitra to Barkha Dutt about the questions posed to her by Parliament's Ethics Panel. The Panel was questioning Moitra on the 'Cash for Queries' Controversy. Based on the testimony of Moitra's former partner, lawyer, Jai Anant Dehadrai, the BJP's Nishikant Dubey has accused Moitra of taking favours from businessman Darshan Hiranandani for asking questions in Parliament related to Gautam Adani. Moitra has denied the charges. Moitra says she was asked questions about who she speaks to at night, where she stays when she travels and whether "my friend's wife knows about our meetings...I told the Ethics Panel Chairperson, Tomorrow if you ask me if I am a prostitute I do not have to answer in Yes or No..." Moitra has conceded that her parliamentary log in and password was used by someone in Hiranandani's office because "he is a dear friend and mine is a remote constituency".. but has argued that every question's content was decided by her. She also alleged that Adani approached her twice via 2 Lok Sabha MPs in the last 3 years to "sort out the issue".
