The Nerd Out - Gatherings That Unite Recap

Welcome to The Nerd Out! This week Lyle and Jack talk about the sermon, “Gatherings That Unite”, initially preached by Pastor Jack on 10/25/26. You can watch it here:    • Gatherings That Unite   PRACTICAL APPLICATION: Establish a weekly habit of praying through Psalm 139:23-24. Give yourself unhurried space to let God examine your heart, and let that lead to honest confession. Identify one person in your church community who might feel like they are sitting at the "kids table." Make a deliberate, specific move toward them this week. Invite them in. Memorize 1 Corinthians 11:26 and reflect on what it means to "proclaim the Lord's death" not just at the communion table but through the way you live each day. If there is a relationship in your life marked by resentment, superiority, or an unwillingness to forgive, bring that to God in prayer this week. Ask him to give you the grace to extend what you have already received. Read 1 Corinthians 8 through 11 in one sitting. Notice the thread Paul is weaving about freedom, self-sacrifice, and honoring others. Write down one phrase that lands most deeply on you and bring it to share with your group next week. #elementscitychurch #elements #thenerdout
