After Veterans Day | Daryl Floyd (Official Lyric Video)

We spend November 11th thanking our veterans. There are ceremonies, handshakes, flags, and speeches. And I appreciate all of that. But what happens on November 12th? There's Danny, sitting at the VA with a folder full of paperwork, still trying to get the help he needs. Rebecca, keeping the hallway light on while her husband struggles through another difficult night. And a veteran standing outside a grocery store with everything he owns in a duffel bag and nowhere to sleep. Those are the people this song is about. I served in the U.S. Army, and I appreciate it when somebody thanks me for my service. But I've always believed those words ought to mean something beyond one day on the calendar. A little patience. A phone call. Helping somebody get what they need. Remembering that the person who wore the uniform is still a person after taking it off. *We don't need another parade every day. We just need to remember the people after the parade is over.* — Daryl Floyd New Horizons Records | Original Music Written and produced by Daryl Floyd with AI-assisted music production using Suno. © 2026 Daryl Floyd | ℗ 2026 New Horizons Records #AfterVeteransDay #DarylFloyd #NewHorizonsRecords #Veterans #OriginalMusic
