I’ve been talking a lot about NA beverages lately. This week I’m talking about beverages again, but with a twist. When a hotel or venue sends over its wine list, you get the grape, the region, and the price. For a guest with an allergy or a sensitivity, that isn't enough to say yes to a glass, and most of us don't know what to ask next. That's the question I'm taking to this week's Eating at a Meeting LIVE, and I'm bringing back a guest who studies it for a living. Amy Graves is the founder and CEO of Hidden Consumers Consulting and the author of The Hidden Consumer. This is her third time on the show. Her work has narrowed to ingredient transparency. She publishes Transparency Audits that score how clearly food and beverage brands state their claims and back them up, and she's now writing From Soil to Bottle: The Wine Guide for People with Allergies and Food Sensitivities. It's Corporate Compliance & Ethics Week, so we're asking where compliance ends and trust begins when you pour. Event beverage transparency means balancing choice, safety, and trust. We'll cover: 🍷 Planners: the questions to put to a venue, distributor, or sponsor before a drink goes on the menu 🍷 Suppliers: how to back up claims like "clean," "natural,” and "sugar-free," and what to say when you can't 🍷 How a beverage program can offer real choice without promising that any one drink is safe for everyone 🍷 What Amy's audit method looks at, and what no audit can tell you This one is about her method and the wine book, so it's new ground even if you've heard her before. Watch LIVE and bring your questions. What beverage question do you wish someone would answer straight? Drop it in the comments, and I'll put it to Amy.
