We shape skis, skis shape us. Nobody draws a ski right the first time. What separates ski brands is how many times they are willing to start over. ZAG built a workshop for it. Every ski begins as a drawing. A hypothesis in three settings. A radius for the curve. A rocker line for the float. A flex for the grip. It becomes a ski the day all three are right. That takes a skier. A north face. A shaper willing to cut the whole thing again. Most brands send a drawing to a factory and ski what comes back once a season. We build our prototypes ourselves in Chamonix. We put a new version on snow as many times as the shape demands. That number is the only thing standing between a drawing and a ski. We shape skis.
