The exam is 200 questions across two three-hour papers. The pass mark is set by equating, not by a fixed percentage. In the May 2026 diet the paper leaned heavily on clinical sciences, pharmacology, rheumatology and gastroenterology — subjects many candidates leave until last. Working doctors do better when they study by concept and priority rather than by volume. Answering 5,000 questions without understanding why the wrong options are wrong does not move the pass mark.
