Leaders from various university technology transfer offices will discuss their impact on building entrepreneurial momentum on campuses across the nation and the roles they serve in support of academic entrepreneurs. In particular, this panel will explore the three major gaps on which startups and spinouts need to focus: (1) the funding gap; (2) the talent gap; and (3) the IP gap. Insights to ensure early success and progress of your startup will be shared, as well as pitfalls to avoid. The session will conclude with insights and suggestions by the panelists for how technology licensing offices (and the like) might enhance support of and service to the Empower community of underrepresented academic founders; and then to audience Q&A.
