Daily Village Chores, Washing Clothes & Traditional Eggplant Rice | Mountain Life

In this video, I share a peaceful, sunny day in our village yard, enjoying simple daily chores and traditional village life. I heated water over an open wood fire to wash clothes, then spread the bedding outside under the warm mountain sun and fresh air. For lunch, I prepared a delicious traditional eggplant dish over the wood fire: - First, I fried chopped garlic and onions in a pan. - Once they were lightly golden, I added aromatic spices. - Then I added chopped eggplants and sautéed everything together. - Next, I added medlar paste and tomato paste and stirred well. - I poured in a cup of boiling water and let everything simmer gently until the eggplants were tender and the sauce was rich and flavorful. - Finally, I added a little barberry for extra flavor. I served this delicious eggplant dish with traditional smoked Kateh rice, cooked over the firewood. After lunch, I baked traditional raisin cookies over the fire using rice flour, egg, butter, raisins, vanilla, and baking powder. We enjoyed them warm with fresh mountain tea.
