Надежда — это нелегальное электричество

The grid is broken, the town has been written off, and somebody is still running a wire from tomorrow. Psychedelic roots reggae collides with massive dubstep drops, rock guitar, tape echoes, and gospel-choir shouts in an anthem of stubborn possibility, where hope keeps the lights on long after fear has declared the future closed. LYRICS: Illegal electricity Illegal electricity Running through the wall Hope is illegal electricity Running under the fence A bright little crime Against common sense A wire from tomorrow To a room with no lamp A spark in the basement Of a flood-damaged camp They said, The grid is broken They said, The town is done But I saw one blue flicker From the not-yet sun Hope is illegal electricity Running through the wall Hope is illegal electricity When there’s no power at all Hope is illegal electricity Humming in the dark Somebody stole the future And hid it in my heart Run it through the wall Run it through the wall No power at all Still I hear the future call Illegal Illegal Electricity in my heart Fear runs a courthouse In the middle of my chest With a judge made of weather And a jury made of stress It says, Dreaming is fraud It says, Stay where you are It says, Don’t trust a candle When you asked for a star But hope knows a tunnel Hope knows a friend Hope knows the old lock On the future can bend Hope is illegal electricity Running through the wall Hope is illegal electricity When there’s no power at all Hope is illegal electricity Humming in the dark Somebody stole the future And hid it in my heart Meet me by the transformer Behind the old despair Roots Roamer Records
