Shree Madhya Bharat Hindi Sahitya Samiti, Indore is one of India’s historic institutions dedicated to the promotion of Hindi language and literature. It was established in Indore in 1910, and its development was closely associated with the Hindi-language movement and the national movement. Mahatma Gandhi laid the foundation stone of its building in 1918 and used the occasion to advocate for the wider adoption of Hindi.
