Mount Whitney | One Day | 13 hour Adventure | 4K High Definition

Third Mount Whitney Summit. Tallest Mountain in the lower 48 States. An elevation of 14505 feet. It was a 22.5 mile round trip. With 6800 feet of elevation gain. Weather was perfect. Clear skies. Little to no wind. Started at 1:30 am. Summited by 9:30 am. Back at the trailhead at 2:45 pm. In total time of 13 hours and 15 minutes. Not about the speed. Go at your pace. What feels comfortable to you. But know it’s also a challenging hike and not for beginners. Pay attention to the Altitude Sickness. Do your research and know your limits before attempting. With that said. I have been training over a year. This was my Third Summit. My previous Summit was 10 hours and 49 minutes. * I slept in my vehicle at the trailhead parking lot one day prior to the hike. To help acclimatize.
