Four Ghost Towns in Italy (and one bonus location!)

We visit four paese fantasma - ghost towns - in Italy: Pentedattilo, Calabria Bussana Vecchia, Liguria San Severino, Campania Rocchetta al Volturno, Molise and the Monastero in the Gole di San Martino, Abruzzo We love walking around deserted and abandoned towns like these. They are a unique glimpse into a moment in history. While they can be popular with tourists, you are still able to walk around with no crowds. In many places, we were the only ones there.
